Today children have been practicing with numbers.They played games on the pdi,on the iPads , they have written them carefully and even they tried some additions!!! We have worked in centers!

CARNIVAL IS FUN

Carnival is here, a nice time where children enjoy disguising very much, playing different roles, dressed on different costumes.
 I read a a recent article some days ago. It said that disguising  involves many things and has also good benefits for kids in any way possible.
Disguising helps to develop their identity and self-control; it also stimulates the attention,the concentration,the memory,the imagination and the creativity as well. It encourages them to assume different roles.

VALENTINE´S CARDS

Hello everybody!

Yesterday it was Valentine´s day and we were doing a special card with a shiny heart on it. Students had punchered the red heart and they stick a silver shiny card inside of it. Then they wore on their hands the heart already punchered.
They also coloured and cut different drawings related with love.

They have already started decorating their Carnival masks.

OUR ANCIENT MUSEUM

Hello everybody!

First of all I want to congratulate our students and their families;without their help this ancient museum wouldn´t be possible to be created.
Students had work a lot these days, because all courses and teachers from the school were invited to see the museum.They explained what they had brought from their houses:an ancient sewing machine,books of medicine,cars,vinile records,a horn,a Bible,a grinder coffee,and as many things as you can imagine.

Today, in the morning we also had an important visit: Guillermo´s grandparents who came to explain kids how things were in the past with less privilegies than we have nowadays.
They were very eager to make questions about the games they used to play,how televisions were,what type of clothes they used to wear..and so on.They learnt many things!

Thanks to Guillermo´s grandparents and parents who share with us such a lovely time!!!

My best CONGRATULATIONS!!! to the whole group of students who were absolutely  MAGNIFICENT!!!

Thanks to all the courses ,teachers,coordinators,tutors who came to see their fantastic museum.

MODELLING SOUNDS

Hello !

Today after exchange greetings and asked them about their feelings, students did a worksheet reviewing the sounds /sh/ng/th/
/ou/or/ar/ai/oo/oa/. They filled on the blank with the right sound.

After they played with dough and make some words such as : moon,fork,moth,cloud,goat..We also played some games on the PDI. I leave some pictures of the students work.

I want to share with you a brief paragraph that I read on a school magazine and it is connected with the main aims we persuade in the school.
It says in Spanish :
" Es importante que todos los alumnos destaquen y se sientan protagonistas de alguna actividad en el aula, ya que es una forma de motivar al grupo, de alcanzar objetivos comunes y de enseñar a pensar en los demás ".
For me, it is an useful sentence that helps to lead children to the future.

FUNNY AND INTERESTING GAMES

SCHOLAR PEACE AND NON VIOLENCE DAY

Hello everybody!

As you know today it is an special day of love and non-violence in all senses.
In our school the students and teachers commemorate this day meeting at the football pitch of the school; we placed very close to each other to have a good feeling of building a better world.

Students from different courses read some nice sentences they have prepared, so as to make us think about these important words:love,peace and non-violence.
The youngest ones wrote sentences on big coloured  doves  referring to peace. Then teachers and students sang a beautiful song of love.It was superb!!!
Congratulations kids!! and never lose your good ideas for the future.

SEK ATLÁNTICO NEW INFANTS SCHOOL

We are on the news!!!


The students saw their activities on the Atlántico newspaper.It was nice to see them working in the classroom; as you can see,they were very interested on seeing them at school practicing different activities.
The headliness of the newspaper talked about the new infants school that will be opened very soon.

ACCORDION

Hello everybody!


Today Johanna have brought an ancient accordion to class.Their classmates made a lot of questions and profe Montse played a little.She loves ancient instruments.
Apart from that, Mariña has also contributed to this small museum bringing a nice cockerel and a keyring.
