A DEBATE ABOUT BEING HEALTHY

Hello !

We had a week full of activities. On Wednesday morning Iris´s father,Jesús, came to the school.He is an expert in nutrition that talked about the importance of having a healthy diet.It is very good to have 5 meals a day.Breakfast is one of the most important .We should eat a piece of fruit or a juice,milk with cereals or a toast and two nuts or almonds.It would be perfect.He also talked about the importance of having fruits and vegetables accompanied by meat (chicken,rabbit...) or fish.He emphasized that sweets and products which contain much sugar don´t give us anything.They learnt a lot.

Then, we pactice some games on the PDI. The game was about selecting the products and placed them on the appropriate group.

Hello !

We have already started the Unit of Inquiry " Around the table".
We learnt how important is to have a balanced diet and to eat  a little from all the groups of food. We saw different fruits and vegetables and they made with dough their favourite dishes. The Italian food was one of their favourite !

HALLOWEEN AND ENGLISH WEEK

Last week it was very spooky and amusing. We learnt new things about Wales, the country we had to investigate. We saw where it is placed,how it is  the country flag (they coloured it  with the red dragon) and many other things.
Apart from that, we decorated pumkins,bats and disguised boys and girls with Halloween costumes. On Friday afternoon we had our party at school . There were skeletons,witches, vampires...

REDUCE,REUSE,RECYCLE

Hello everybody !

We are just finishing this unit of inquiry. The students have worked really hard. They learnt how good it is to recycle things and take care of the environment.
They turn off lights and taps where it is not necessary and also started thinking about the consequences of  not doing that. They  had a solidary attitude.
Last week  we were  the E.C.O.  SEK patrol. They went to the schoolyard and  picked up things to recycle. They have also been to  the secretaries  and the headmaster office.

  ECO-DEBATE IN CLASS

Last Friday  the eco sek patrol han been with us . Alicia Pardo from 3rd E.S.O and José Rodrigo Tobio from 4 th  E.S.O. accompanied by the MYP coordinator Monica Azpilicueta have talked about the importance of recycling .We played a game with the containers. Each student had a  card where appeared the name of the material to recycle. They had to put in the right container.

We spent a nice time and learnt a lot .

WE TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT

A medida que avanza  la unidad que estamos trabajando , los alumnos  se dan cuenta de la importancia que tiene reciclar y cuidar el medio ambiente , no tirar papeles al suelo, apagar las luces cuándo no sean necesarias, cuidar  las plantas.... y otras muchas cosas.
